At the April 6 meeting Jen Vote presented a preliminary 2025 financial report showing a deficit of $147,892.47. Vote also reported that the county food bank served 314 households in the reporting period. She told the board Ruby’s Pantry has ceased operations but county staff and volunteers were able to secure one truckload of food with an estimated value of $20,000.
Director Mandy Stanley reported staffing updates for the department: one therapist and a CCS case manager position have been filled, an offer is out to a second therapist and the department is struggling to fill a nurse position. Stanley also noted that the Montello Dining Site moved to the Human Services Department on March 30.
The Economic Support/Child Support Unit reported a high call volume (13,412 calls) and a $30,000 increase in child-support recovery in March; Clinical Services reported waiting lists (11 for outpatient, 6 for CCS) and four residential placements. Transportation and ADRC committee meeting dates were announced; a new van is expected in June. No budgetary actions were taken at the meeting; figures were presented for oversight.
