Property committee sets reserve bids, schedules June 1 auction for tax-deed parcels

The motion to set those starting amounts was made by Lance Achterberg and seconded by Mary Walters; the minutes record the motion as carried. The committee also authorized publication of the sales in the newspaper and on an auction surplus site as soon as possible, with the auction end date set for June 1; that motion was made by Lance Achterberg and seconded by Abby Swan and was recorded as carried. The Town of Newton parcels will be discussed again in 90 days.
The minutes note that the owners of the Packwaukee and Montello parcels are deceased. Treasurer Jody Myers asked the committee to identify publication dates and starting amounts, and the committee provided direction through the motions recorded.
