Supervisors hear 2025 annual reports; Highway commissioner wins national APWA project award

Marquette County department heads presented 2025 annual reports across two meetings held May 19 and May 26; the Board voted to place the reports on file.

At the May 19 meeting department heads including those from UW Extension, Planning & Zoning, Clerk of Court, District Attorney, Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management, Buildings & Grounds and Health presented reports. The Board moved to place those reports on file. A second, special Annual Reports meeting on May 26 continued presentations from Medical Examiner Amanda Thoma; Land & Water and Parks & Rural Planning (Pat Kilbey); Human Services (Mandy Stanley); Highway (Brian Trebiatowski); EMS (Rob Lulling); CVSO (Brandon Enck); Land Information (Megan Stalker); Register of Deeds (Nicole Ziebell); Treasurer (Jody Myers); IT (Dan Buchholz); County Clerk (Kiley Lloyd); and Administration (Ron Barger). The Board placed these reports on file by motion.

Chairperson Bornhoeft recognized Highway Commissioner Brian Trebiatowski at the May 26 meeting for winning both the APWA Wisconsin Chapter and APWA National Chapter 2026 Project of the Year Award in the category Projects under $5 million. The Board also discussed orientation for five new supervisors and announced a voluntary County Board Advisor program to help new supervisors learn board functions; Supervisor Gary Sorensen will oversee organizing advisors and advisees.
