County seeks new wellness-incentive vendor after Lockton exit

Pottawattamie County Human Resources told supervisors that Lockton is no longer offering the county's wellness program and that HR has compiled roughly nine alternative vendor options and is awaiting cost proposals. Staff reported they have already engaged three vendors in greater detail and are gathering pricing information from several others.
HR asked the board whether staff should notify employees about the interim situation; members agreed staff should issue a notice explaining the transition, what records Lockton provided, and how employees who already completed wellness exams should proceed. HR said it has received the list of employees eligible for the 2026 plan year from Lockton and will attempt to reconcile any late submissions with the former vendor during the transition.
HR committed to returning to the board with vendor recommendations, proposed costs, and implementation steps around the same August timeframe the board set for handbook policy follow-up.
