Director reports holiday contest winners, basketball programs and planned spring promotional flyers

Windsor Locks — Director David Wrabel told the Windsor Locks Park Commission on Jan. 12 that recreational basketball began the previous week and will run through the end of February, travel basketball has been running since December with about five weeks until playoffs, and basketball training clinics were held last weekend with another scheduled for the coming weekend. An alumni basketball game has been delayed to February.
Wrabel also reported results from the 2025 Holiday House Decorating Contest: Best Overall — 5 North Street; Brightest & Most Spirited — 13 Robin Road; Most Traditional — 16 Robin Road; and Best Outdoor Decorated Tree — 453 Reed Avenue. He said staff plan to bring draft advertising flyers for spring and summer programs to the March meeting.
The director’s update covered program logistics and scheduling; commissioners did not alter the schedule during the meeting.
