First Selectman Jon Savino updated the Windsor Locks Board of Selectmen on Jan. 6 that the town’s restoration and capital projects are nearing completion: the old train station is "99% complete" with only minor interior touch‑ups and a future sidewalk pour when weather allows, and the state expects the new train station to be finished in April or May. Savino also reported that the Senior Center and Police Station projects are complete aside from a few minor open items.
On the Main Street Commons project, Savino said Trinity Financial is aiming for an April/May 2026 start. Residents asked for more clarity on final funding and accounting beyond construction management costs; Mike Rosadini requested a wrap‑up of funding showing where remaining funds stand.
No formal votes were taken on capital spending at the Jan. 6 meeting. Selectmen asked staff to provide follow‑up information on outstanding items and any cross‑charged expenses residents said affected both the Senior Center and Police Station.
