Port Clinton ARB approves new signs for Booth Boutique and Morgan Realty Group

The Port Clinton Architectural Review Board approved two storefront signs at its April 10 meeting, unanimously approving applications for Booth Boutique at 121 Madison Street and Morgan Realty Group at 142 E. Second Street.
Dawn McCarroll, applicant for Booth Boutique, told the board she is replacing the existing sign at 121 Madison Street with a blue-and-white design. Bill Van Der Giessen moved to approve the sign as submitted; Doug Focht seconded and the motion passed with all members in agreement.
Jeff Morgan, representing Morgan Realty Group, said his real estate office is relocating to 142 E. Second Street and requested authorization to place a yellow franchise-style sign at the new site. He said the yellow color had been approved at the company’s previous location within the city’s historic district and that the sign would be illuminated by two adjustable goose-neck fixtures that can be turned off when not needed. Rachel Fall moved to approve the application as submitted; Mary Snider seconded and the board approved the sign unanimously. Morgan said he expects to file a later application for additional signage.
There was no old business and no public comment. Todd Bickley, a staff member, said he will be receiving new applications for the next scheduled meeting. The board set its next meeting for April 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Rachel Fall moved to adjourn at 10:09 a.m.; Doug Focht seconded. Minutes were submitted by Sandye Ostheimer, secretary.
