The Wilbur Planning Commission on a special-call approved the commission's findings of fact for Petition 2601 (Philponen) and amended the document to correct a Scrivener's error in the municipal code citation.
Commission Chair called the meeting to order and, after confirming a quorum, members moved and seconded a motion to approve the findings prepared for Petition 2601. A staff member explained that several appeals of the permit have been filed and that the Board of Works will hear those appeals and must respond in writing; the staff urged commissioners to finalize the written findings so that the Board of Works has a complete record that includes both the appellant's arguments and the commission's findings.
During discussion a staff member noted a Scrivener's error in paragraph 3 of the draft findings, saying that a referenced code section number had been transposed and "it should read section 150.104 and not 140." The commissioner who moved approval amended the motion to include that correction. The commission conducted a roll-call vote after one commissioner noted a "no" on the initial voice vote; the amended motion passed and the findings, with the corrected citation, were approved.
A second staff member reiterated that the Board of Works needs the commission's February minutes and the written findings to issue an opinion on the pending appeals. With the record amended and approved, the commission concluded the special meeting and adjourned.
Next steps: the Board of Works is scheduled to consider the appeals at its upcoming meeting; the commission's approved findings and minutes will be part of that record.
