Matt Dowell, Executive Director of the Golden Triangle Regional Airport, asked the Board to reallocate $60,000 of a previously committed $220,000 county capital match to cover GTRA's 20% proportionate share of a $300,000 temporary Minimum Revenue Guarantee regional subsidy to support SkyWest/American service. Dowell said a subsequent direct state allocation eliminated the county's land loan debt obligation, leaving the county able to reassign part of the previously committed capital.
On a motion by Supervisor Pattie Little, seconded by Supervisor Joe Williams, the Board adopted Resolution No. RS-20260622- approving the 20% proportionate share commitment of $60,000 and authorized the Board President to execute all necessary documents. County officials noted the reallocation requires no new cash layout and leaves the county with $160,000 in net savings from the originally committed $220,000.
