Board Attorney Rob Roberson presented final legal documentation resolving outstanding claims and a corresponding Executive Session Resolution at the June 22 meeting, reporting that a trust-account distribution of $1,051,168.49 is to be paid directly to Oktibbeha County. The Board voted unanimously to approve the resolution and authorized Board President Marvel Howard to execute the final Trust Account Distribution Agreement.
Under the resolution the settlement funds will be deposited into the county's designated depository account. The Board's action formalizes acceptance of the settlement and directs county staff to complete the administrative steps necessary to receive and record the funds.
