Pownal planner resigns; Select Board to negotiate contract with North Star Planning

The Select Board on April 28 acknowledged the Town Planner’s resignation effective April 23, 2025. Becky Taylor-Chase reported she met with the CEO, the Assessor and representatives of North Star Planning to discuss temporary coverage and next steps.
The board said it plans to negotiate a contract with North Star Planning in June to provide planning services and to lay groundwork for the town’s planning needs. Chair Jon Morris also noted receipt of an email from the Planning Board chair outlining delegated member responsibilities.
No contract with North Star Planning was finalized at the April 28 meeting; the board will return to the proposal and contract negotiation in June.
