Pownal Select Board approves AP warrant, payroll and two municipal contracts
Summary
The board voted unanimously to pay an accounts payable warrant and payroll journal and approved agreements with Midcoast Humane Services and Cumberland County dispatch services; the town administrator provided accompanying statistics for the shelter contract.
At its June 9 meeting the Town of Pownal Select Board approved FY25 Accounts Payable Warrant #28 for $117,555.45 and Payroll Journal #466 for $13,890.75. Both motions were made by Selectperson Andy O'Brien, seconded by Selectperson Kate Day, and passed 3–0.
The board also approved two contracts. The Select Board voted to sign an annual services agreement with Midcoast Humane Services after Town Administrator Rebecca Taylor‑Chase read the attached shelter statistics included with the contract. The board approved the Midcoast Humane agreement by unanimous vote.
Selectperson O'Brien moved and Selectperson Day seconded approval of an agreement for communication services between the Town of Pownal and Cumberland County; that dispatch contract was approved 3–0.
Taylor‑Chase noted the Midcoast Humane attachment includes intake and outcome statistics and low‑cost clinic information. The report was filed with the contract documents for the town record.
