Board approves routine stormwater agreements, appoints pension representatives and launches Comprehensive Plan adoption process

The Board unanimously approved stormwater O&M agreements for two homeowner projects, appointed Officer Jonathan Stewart (uniformed) and Officer Richard Barth (alternate) to the Pension Advisory Board, approved the payment report, and authorized initiation and advertising of the Comprehensive Plan update adoption process.
At its April 8 meeting the West Whiteland Board approved several routine items and authorized staff to begin the Comprehensive Plan adoption process.
The Board unanimously approved Stormwater Management Facilities Operation & Maintenance Agreements required by zoning variances for a residential addition at 1256 Grove Road and for an in‑ground pool and deck at 298 North Cote Circle. The agreements document property owners’ responsibilities to maintain stormwater facilities in compliance with Ordinance No. 270.
The Board also appointed Officer Jonathan Stewart as the uniformed, non‑voting member of the Pension Advisory Board and Officer Richard Barth as the alternate after the prior uniformed member became unavailable. Both appointments were made on the Police Officers Association’s recommendation and approved without objection.
Vice Chair Rajesh Kumbhardare moved, and the Board authorized initiation of the Comprehensive Plan update adoption process and advertisement of a public hearing for adoption. The Board also approved the April 8 Township Payment Report after staff answered supervisory questions.
Updates: the Sierra Club presented on Local Climate Action to the Public Services Commission, and Friends of the Parks continues event planning. Public Works reported on multiple division projects; staff said Exton Park Phase II is awaiting results of a pressure test to confirm county water lines will not be affected. Lieutenant Jason Madormo said Chester County Department of Emergency Services is rolling out new radios, with portables this month and car radios in June and July.
