The Daniels County commissioners opened their Sept. 16 meeting, approved the day's agenda and voted to pay monthly claims and approve the treasurer's securities by unanimous voice votes.
Chair opened the meeting and moved approval of the agenda; the motion was seconded and approved, and the board later moved and approved payment of monthly claims and the treasurer's securities. Attendance was noted as Mike, Gary Linder and Christy Jones; Michael Lun was absent.
The board also dealt with a routine Intercap loan reimbursement request. Staff said the $10,300 request is a reimbursement for a prior payment and that, aside from signing the request, no further action was required. Commissioners noted there are two separate Intercap loans (one for equipment) and discussed prior equipment spending and current remaining balances (staff cited roughly $82,000 remaining on one of the loans).
No formal motions beyond the routine approvals were recorded on the reimbursement item; staff indicated they would sign the request and process the reimbursement.
Next steps: routine claims will be processed and the signed reimbursement request submitted to complete the Intercap reimbursement. The meeting continued to departmental briefings and presentations.
