Freeburg board approves park-district parade sponsorship, passes appropriation ordinance and promotes finance manager

Trustee Ramon Matchett Jr. moved to adopt Resolution #26-06 to authorize the park-district-sponsored homecoming parade; Trustee Dana Miller seconded and the roll-call vote was unanimous. The motion appears on the agenda as Resolution #26-06.
Later in the meeting Trustee Tom Carpenter moved to adopt Ordinance #1817, titled "An Ordinance Specifying Appropriation Procedure," and Trustee James (Mike) Blaies seconded. The roll call on the ordinance recorded six ayes and the motion carried. The ordinance was presented and adopted by title during the meeting.
On personnel, Trustee Ramon Matchett Jr. moved to promote Laura Wolf to Finance Manager; Trustee Elizabeth (Lisa) Meehling seconded the motion. The roll call recorded six ayes, and the board approved the promotion. Village Administrator Matt Trout had reported that Wolf was the only internal applicant for the position.
No public comments were made on these items during the meeting. The board completed the listed votes without recorded dissent and adjourned at 7:50 p.m. The village will proceed with implementation steps associated with the resolution and appointment according to staff workflow and applicable ordinances.
