North High Shoals council adopts routine minutes, financials and schedules community events

The North High Shoals Town Council at its Nov. 17 meeting approved routine administrative items and shared a calendar of community events.
Council Member Eric Wright moved to accept the meeting agenda and later moved to accept the Oct. 27 draft minutes; the minutes approval carried with a recorded 3–0 vote and one abstention by Council Member Meagan Cundiff. The council also accepted the October 2025 financial statement on a 4–0 vote after a motion by Wright and a second from Council Member Fred Johnson.
Unfinished business items included a brief update from Pat Sibley that there was no new information about partnering with the Town of Bishop for the Oconee County 250th Anniversary celebration scheduled for June 20, 2026. The council noted that the Little Free Little Library will be presented to the town on Nov. 29 at 10:00 AM in the park and announced a Town Christmas Party on Dec. 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Town Hall.
With no mayoral updates, Council Member Eric Carlson moved to adjourn; Council Member Fred Johnson seconded and the motion carried 5–0. The meeting ended at 8:23 PM.
