Courtney Grimes, introduced as the new Phoenix principal, described nine changes to the Phoenix handbook, including aligning school hours to 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to match GRC, adjusting earliest drop-off to 7:50 a.m., changing the attendance clerk title to administrative assistant, condensing evaluation language, linking the district behavior matrix, and removing language referencing DJJ and a light non-invasive pat down because the district no longer has a contract with DJJ. "...we no longer have a contract with DJJ. So really it was alignment with GRC in terms of timing and then removal of the DJJ language," she said while summarizing the handbook changes.
