Janet, speaking during the discussion, clarified that the monies described for the fund come from grants rather than client fees and said the court currently has $3,000 from Mental Health America. “We now for the first time ever have a fully certified mental health treatment court in Vigo County,” Janet said.
Commissioners noted that similar non‑reverting funds are used elsewhere in county accounting to ensure court‑specific resources remain available for treatment and program costs. After brief questions, a commissioner moved to adopt Ordinance 2026‑9, a second was offered and the ordinance passed by voice vote.
