Ridgewood drainage problems prompt county fixes; trustees withhold final payment until corrected

After field observations and resident reports, township staff and trustees told the County the work left drainage defects and requested corrective action.
Meeting minutes show trustees withheld final payment pending County remediation. After Franklin County engineers agreed the contractor’s work (Kokosing, as referenced in meeting follow-ups) was not acceptable and committed to corrections, trustees authorized final payment to the County (Resolution R-72-06).
Trustees also contracted crack-seal and other fall repairs on state bid pricing and approved supplemental crack-seal work (R-57-06) and authorized seasonal sweeping coordination with Hilliard to reduce costs. The board recorded steps to survey roads for 2007 work and discussed lining, centerline repainting and a schedule with County crews.
