Ryan told the board the funds would be used to design and construct multimodal improvements — including sidewalks and connections along the Shantz Road and Lone Lane corridor — that align with priority areas in the township’s Vision Zero Action Plan. Staff said this application seeks 100% funding because a match was not budgeted in 2026; they noted applications that include a local match are generally more competitive but this submission lets the township pursue available state funds.
Supervisors voted to approve the grant application by voice vote. Staff noted the application covers a portion of the corridor identified in Vision Zero and is not the full corridor project, which would be substantially larger in cost.
