The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners on May 5 heard a public hearing on Change of Zone 26005, a request to rezone roughly 5.91 acres southeast of Hickman at 9950 Stagecoach Road from Agricultural (AG) to Agricultural Residential (AGR).
Lincoln–Lancaster County Planner George Wesselhoft testified that the request would allow construction of an accessory building east of the existing residence and would reduce the side-yard setback requirement from 60 feet to 15 feet under AGR zoning. Wesselhoft said the adjacent property to the south already carries AGR zoning and that the Future Land Use Map designates the area for AGR development. He told the Board the request is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and that the Planning Commission received no opposition to the application.
No members of the public spoke in opposition or in a neutral capacity during the hearing, and Chair Christa Yoakum closed the hearing. The transcript does not record a final vote on the rezoning at the May 5 meeting; the item was presented as a public hearing with staff findings.
