Planner briefs Lancaster County commissioners on rezoning request at 9950 Stagecoach Road

Wesselhoft said the property is currently zoned AG (agriculture) and the owner wishes to construct an accessory building that would fall within the AG district's 60-foot side-yard setback. The petitioner requests AGR (agricultural residential) zoning, which the planner said requires a 15-foot side-yard setback. Wesselhoft noted that AGR zoning already exists nearby and that the county's future land-use map supports AGR/low-density development. He said the Planning Commission reviewed the request and raised no objections.
The minutes record that board members had no further questions and that the item will return to the Board next Tuesday for further consideration. The minutes do not record a formal action or vote on the rezoning at this meeting.
