Windsor Locks commission approves FY27 senior center budget

At its Feb. 2 meeting the Windsor Locks Commission on the Needs of the Aging voted unanimously to approve the senior center’s proposed fiscal year 2027 budget. Senior Center Director Ann Marie Claffey presented the budget and told the commission she will consult with the town Finance Department to resolve discrepancies in the salary figures before the March 3 public presentation, scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
The motion to approve the proposed FY27 budget was made by Cindy Cooper and seconded by Roger Nelson; all eight members present voted in favor. Earlier in the meeting the commission also approved minutes from the Nov. 17 session, amended to note Michael Rosadini’s attendance.
Claffey said the budget includes personnel and program items tied to rising patronage and potential service expansions; she asked the commission to review corrected salary figures before the public hearing. The committee did not change the budget at the meeting and forwarded the approved proposal to the next public presentation on March 3.
