Kootenai County commissioners voted June 30 to award bid number 25JC‑KC‑06‑07 — the I‑90 Phase 2 project covering 67.2 acres of capture field treatment — to Imperial Forestry Inc., the county’s lowest responsive bidder.
Andrea Littlefield, identifying herself for the record with the Kootenai County Office of Emergency Management, told the board that both bid packages produced two responsive, qualified bidders and that Imperial Forestry Inc. was the lowest responsive bidder for both connected units of the project. "Both bids had two responsive qualified bidders respond to our notice inviting bid with Imperial Forestry Inc. as the lowest bid for both," Littlefield said.
The board amended the motion to specify Imperial Forestry Inc. as awardee; the motion was seconded and approved by the three commissioners on the dais.
The award was recorded as an authorized action of the board; staff were not asked to return with further conditions at the meeting.
