No formal contract awards were made at the meeting; the clerk and chair repeatedly described the votes as referrals to the consultant for review. Staff noted the Walnut Avenue work responds to resident complaints about spillage and garbage-truck runoff in the 4200–4300 blocks and is intended to remediate the drainage issue once engineered details and a recommendation are returned to the board.
Next steps: engineering will review the low bids and return a recommendation to the board before any contract is awarded.
