The applicant, Steven Lord, appeared on Zoom and told the commission he was comfortable with the staff‑recommended 20‑foot setback. The public hearing produced no comments.
After brief discussion clarifying how drive‑thru and monument signs are treated separately in the code (monument signs typically have a 5‑foot setback to the property line and separate square‑foot limits), Commissioner Settlemire moved to recommend approval to city council. The motion carried on a 5‑0 roll call vote.
