The board discussed audiovisual improvements for the meeting room behind the Select Board dais: a large screen for public viewing, individual small monitors at each seat, and an AV package that is finalized and bid out. Staff also described wayfinding plans and a communications packet for the public explaining the new main entrance (at the back of the building, accessible via elevator) and parking.
Members proposed a two-stage public opening: soft openings for community uses followed by a larger ribbon-cutting tied to an art show and tours planned for September. Board volunteers offered to lead tours and to work with staff on a one-page flyer and website content to orient residents to the renovated facility. The board emphasized showcasing the project’s energy and financing approach in local and regional press outreach.
