Staff described Resolution 2026, which recommends reducing the parking stall count by 10 at the Almond Dental property at 2200 West and 104 South after a traffic consultant's on‑site observations; staff noted that change of use or ownership would trigger a reevaluation. Another consent item is an interlocal agreement with Salt Lake County for maintenance of small annexed segments of Backus Highway (about 0.347 miles in two sections), with the aim of having the city maintain those segments and collect the related gas‑tax share. The third consent item is the HOME interlocal agreement (presented separately in detail).
Communications staff also presented a Summerfest overview: activities include a parade preview and kite festival at Highland Park, Mulligan's Bash, a carnival, concerts culminating with a Bon Jovi tribute band and a fireworks show, a parade breakfast, and a 5K starting at 7:30 a.m. Staff requested grand‑marshal names and noted voucher logistics for council members and volunteers.
