South Jordan City Council adopted an amendment to the fiscal‑year 2025–26 budget to record additional donations, grants and reimbursements and to ensure accounting compliance through the fiscal year ending June 30.
Sunil Naidoo, the city finance staff member, told the council the amended budget reflects receipts that must be accounted for and audited and that there were not substantial structural changes. The council opened a public hearing on the amendment; no members of the public spoke.
Council Member Johnson moved to adopt Resolution R 20 26‑12; Council Member McGuire seconded. The council approved the amendment on a roll‑call vote: Johnson, McGuire, Zander, Harris and Shelton voted yes. Finance staff said the adjustments were anticipated and included in the current budget package.
The resolution amends appropriation authority through the fiscal year end so donations, grant receipts and reimbursements can be properly reported and audited.
