Council member Erdman reported that the LMCC board unanimously approved principal terms of a contract with Midco to provide television and internet services to LMCC member communities, with Deephaven scheduled for service in 2026.
Erdman told the council attorneys for both parties must finalize contract language. He said Midco’s proposed internet rates are slightly lower than the incumbent (Mediacom) and that installation will require coordination with city public works to align underground conduit and infrastructure. Erdman described the development as competitive and potentially beneficial for residents seeking higher speeds.
The council asked staff to track the contract’s finalization and to coordinate public-works planning on future underground installation so it aligns with other infrastructure work.
