Port Clinton City Council voted unanimously May 27 to waive the right to a hearing on a liquor-permit transfer for Poseidon Lounge, 117 S. Madison Street.
Beth Gillman moved to waive the right to a hearing for the transfer from Cielo Grande, LLC, DBA Rosie’s Bar and Grill, to R Square Hospitality, LLC, DBA Poseidon Lounge; Cathy King seconded. The chair recorded a voice roll call: Gillman, yes; Margaret Phillips, yes; Pat Hovis, yes; King, yes; Richard Morgan, yes. The motion carried 5-0.
The action followed an Ohio Department of Liquor Control notice of legislative authority on the permit change that was included in the meeting correspondence. The council also voted to accept the meeting correspondence by unanimous consent.
No members of the public spoke during the meeting on this item, and the council did not record additional conditions or amendments to the waiver. The meeting minutes note the clerk and council president signed the record following adjournment.
