Mrs. Toni Bacon, Chair of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury Finance Committee, called the committee to order at 7:38 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2024, at the Police Jury administrative building. The committee approved the 2024 Amended and 2025 Proposed budgets for Smith Cemetery (moved by Mr. Michael Thompson; seconded by Mr. Lonnie Hudson) and for JS Clark Cemetery (moved by Mr. Larry Bratton; seconded by Mr. Lonnie Hudson). The committee also approved General Fund items including General Fund – Reserved (moved by Bratton; seconded by Thompson), General Fund – Interest Reserved, General Fund – Hospital Settlement, General Fund – Pump Station and General Fund – Economic Development; each approval was recorded as passing without opposition.
