Personnel committee approves 2025 insurance renewals and several staffing actions

During a Personnel Committee meeting held Oct. 7, HR presented 2025 insurance renewals and recommended acceptance of an 8% increase for health coverage with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Committee members approved that renewal and also approved dental and life renewals through MetLife and a vision renewal through Guardian Vision (dental increase noted at 4.7%).
The committee approved a slate of personnel items submitted by department heads, including recommended sick leave actions, substitute appointments and one resignation. The committee also approved hiring Sabien Winston as a part‑time Juvenile Detention Officer II.
All personnel motions recorded in the minutes passed without opposition at the committee level; the Jury later ratified and adopted committee actions during the reconvened regular meeting.
