FLEMINGSBURG — Two public items drew discussion at the Fleming County Fiscal Court’s May 12 meeting but resulted in no formal action.
Amy Ishmael, a member of the Fleming County Cemetery Board, addressed the Fiscal Court to request additional county funding for cemetery maintenance. The court discussed the request but did not approve funding or set a follow-up during the meeting.
Later in the public-comment portion, Heath Gray came before the court to appeal a nuisance-abatement notice. Court members reviewed the process for distributing abatement notices, who is authorized to file initial complaints and the ordinance’s specifications. Gray said he may file an appeal in Fleming County Circuit Court. The court took no action on the appeal during the session.
Both items were recorded in the minutes without votes; court members indicated discussion but left decisions for a later date or a separate legal process where appropriate.
