Union County Council fills numerous board and commission vacancies

At its June 17 meeting Union County Council filled numerous vacancies across county boards and commissions. Most appointments carried unanimously after recommendation and second; exceptions noted in the minutes included a recorded opposition by Councilman Glenn to one Fair Board appointment (Tommy Ford) and a withdrawn recommendation for an Airport Commission appointment (William "Bill" Strickland) after concerns were raised about his employment at the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
