Union County Council on Sept. 10 adopted the FY 2024-2025 tax levy after a public hearing held before the meeting produced no public comments.
Chairman Phillip G. Russell, II said the county’s tax levy will not increase, meaning the county operation portion of property tax bills will remain the same for the next fiscal year. Vice Chair David Sinclair moved to accept the levy and Councilman John Glenn seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The council did not receive public comment at the hearing. The adoption completes the council’s budget-setting step for this levy; council staff will attach the resolution to the meeting minutes and proceed with administrative filings.
