He said the nonprofit has discussed building a 2,000,000-gallon holding pond sourcing Harvey Brook to support snowmaking equipment. "A decision on this acquisition is expected by July," Franklin said.
The commission did not record a formal position or vote on the possible sale; commissioners noted the item for awareness and did not detail environmental or permitting analysis during the meeting. Any development of that scale would likely require additional review, water-use analysis, and municipal or state permitting not discussed at length at the May 27 session.
