Support services move to YMCA; pre-bid for elementary roof set with projected summer work window

A staff update noted that support services have transitioned from CARES to the YMCA, with YMCA staff taking over operations in both buildings and many prior CARES employees moving to the YMCA. The staff presenter said parents and employees reported that the children are "having more fun" and that programming has been more active during the initial transition week.
Dr. McCoy announced upcoming events: an ISBA District 6 "coffee talk" the Friday after the meeting and the AR event on March 12 in Haggertown. Dr. McCoy said he would register attendees and requested board members indicate if they plan to attend.
Staff also reported a pre-bid meeting for the elementary school roof with several contractors present, a bid opening at 10:00 next Wednesday and a proposed construction window beginning around June 2 with completion by July 31 to align with the school calendar.
The board accepted routine additional transfers, an employment report and a professional development request earlier in the meeting; these personnel and calendar items were recorded as passing without objection.
