The Centerville-Abington Com Schs board approved routine business and several agenda items during its meeting, recording unanimous voice votes on multiple motions.
Early in the meeting the board approved the consent agenda by voice vote (recorded as 5-0). The board then adopted changes to Policy C125 on second reading by a 5-0 voice vote. Later, the board approved the 2026–27 student transfer application, which includes a new clause reserving the district's right to offer pickup for students living outside the district; that motion passed 5-0.
The board also accepted two donations (related to drama) and thanked the Freddy and Sherman families for their contributions. A professional development request and an additional employment report (which included a cafeteria dishwasher position) were each approved by unanimous voice votes.
Committee member Stevenson provided a district update from the state: agencies changed the summer-school estimates process and districts will no longer be required to submit summer-school estimates because reimbursement will be limited to certain mandatory classes.
Meeting notes: the board heard routine announcements about a rescheduled website video shoot and congratulated the boys basketball team on a recent sectional championship; the meeting concluded with customary closing items and an adjournment near 7:19 p.m.
