River Ridge CDD approves gatehouse redesign, signage work and emergency storm cleanup

The River Ridge Community Development District on Oct. 22 authorized Bowman Consulting to retain RG Architects as a subconsultant to redesign two gatehouses and approved a Bowman proposal for replacement of neighborhood monuments and master signage. The Board discussed design, elevation certificates and potential flood-zone changes and agreed to book the $62,500 design cost as an up-front deferred reimbursable expense to be invoiced when financing is issued.
Board member Kurt Blumenthal moved and Terry Mountford seconded a motion authorizing Bowman to retain RG Architects under Bowman’s standard terms, with the Chair authorized to execute documents after review by District Counsel and the District Manager; the motion passed "with all in favor." Eric Long will lead the project and act as the staff liaison; Mr. Blumenthal will serve as the Board liaison for communications and monthly updates.
The Board also approved Bowman Consulting Group's landscape architecture proposal to replace monuments throughout the CDD, with neighborhood monument replacement costs budgeted under Pelican Sound replacement reserves.
Separately, the Board ratified an emergency street-sweeping contract with Precision Cleaning, Inc. for storm cleanup and authorized a one-time payment of $1,475 and the option for additional week-to-week cleanings during the next month. Premier Lakes staff reported the vendor completed eight loads and eight passes through the CDD.
