The Coffey County Commission authorized an extension of the contract with Marvin Planning Consultants on June 22 so the firm can complete the county’s Comprehensive Plan. Commissioner Steve McCurry moved to authorize and direct the chairman to sign the letter extending the existing contract; Wayde Thomsen seconded and the motion passed.
The minutes state the comprehensive plan is estimated to be substantially completed on or before Dec. 31, 2026. The minutes do not include the extension letter text, contract terms, additional compensation (if any) or a deadline earlier than the stated estimate.
