At the Jan. 12 bill-review meeting, Deputy Mayor Joseph Sterling moved and Committeeman Ben Stowman seconded a motion to pay General Code to update and post Township and Land Use Board ordinances online; the roll call recorded ayes from Sterling, Stowman and Mayor Ken Whildin.
Later the committee voted to award the annual electronic tax-sale contract to RealAuction.com LLC, the vendor the Township has used since the COVID era. Mr. Foster noted the contract price varies by the number of items; no contract amount was recorded in the meeting minutes.
Other administrative matters were discussed but not recorded as formal votes during the Jan. 12 meeting: committee members discussed appointment of Daniel Hutchinson as Municipal Court public defender under a shared-service agreement with the City of Vineland and a proposed resolution to support Fire District #4's pursuit of federal funding for a replacement truck. The committee also discussed terminating a deed restriction for Block 113 Lot 3 and the possible sale of foreclosed Matts Landing properties; those items were tabled for further consideration.
Next procedural step: the committee will present bills for approval and the ordinance introduction on Jan. 15, 2026, where some of these items may appear for formal vote.
