Canton council approves demolition of Mitson House; Historical Society may salvage windows

On the windows, the council agreed the Historical Society could remove them if they do so at their own cost and meet a deadline before the contractor begins work.
Motion and outcome: Councilmember George Hafner moved, Jason Magnuson seconded to allow the Canton Historical Society to remove the windows for the old glass at their expense and to accept the estimate from TLC Excavating to demolish the Mitson House and clean up the lot; motion carried.
