Norton City honors students of the month at all grade levels

The Norton City School Board paused routine business to recognize students of the month from across the district.
At the high school level, presenters highlighted twins Elena and Maddie Mullet — one named compact student of the month and the other the regular student of the month — for leadership in the teacher academy and extracurricular involvement. A presenter praised Elena for being voted student intern of the quarter by her peers in the teacher academy.
Other honorees included Aubrey Clark as 7th‑grade student of the month praised for hard work and quiet leadership, Elliot Knapp at the primary level noted for his smile and helpfulness, and second‑grader Sala Seifer, who teachers described as an independent learner who consistently takes pride in her work. "She is respectful, polite, and trustworthy. Sala is always willing to help her peers without expecting anything in return," a teacher said during the recognition.
The board invited all students to a group photo before resuming business. No public comments were recorded during the meeting.
