On April 7, 2026, the Silver Creek Township Planning & Zoning Board voted unanimously to recommend that Wright County rezone the Uecker property to Ag-Res.
The recommendation followed a presentation by project representative Paul Otto, who described a revised plan that would replace an earlier recommendation for four 10‑acre lots with a planned unit development that treats the creek as a boundary and proposes two larger and two smaller lots. Otto also referenced issues raised at a February Wright County meeting and the site’s 2009 Natural Resources overlay.
Supervisor Nelson moved to recommend the rezoning; Commissioner Vanek seconded the motion, which carried 8-0. Chair Chris Klein said the revised plan “fit the ordinance better,” and Supervisor Nelson described the proposal as “well thought out.” Commissioner Vanek said the new layout addressed how to use property on the far side of the creek.
