Stanhope approves stipends, a tax-sale refund and payment of bills; roll-call votes unanimous

The Borough of Stanhope adopted four resolutions by roll-call vote at its April 28, 2026 business meeting.
Resolution 081-26 authorized a stipend of $630 per month, retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026, for Assistant Tax Collector Tammy Minniti to compensate for additional duties while the Borough lacks a full-time CFO/Certified Tax Collector. The resolution passed on a roll-call vote: Riccardi, Smith, Romano, Thornton, Simpson and Wachterhauser — all yes.
Resolution 082-26 increased weekly stipends to $215 (retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026) for Linda Chirip and Tammy Minniti for temporarily covering Construction Secretary duties until a new Construction Secretary is hired and trained. The resolution passed unanimously on roll call.
Resolution 083-26 authorized refunding redemption monies from Tax Sale Certificate #25-00003 (Block 11501 Lot 2, 456 Audubon Court) payable to Pro Cap 8 FBO Firstrust Bank in the total amount of $11,148.05 (redemption amount $2,248.05 plus tax premium $8,900.00). The council voted yes unanimously.
Resolution 084-26 authorized payment of the current bills list dated April 28, 2026, upon CFO certification. That resolution also passed unanimously.
All four measures passed with unanimous roll-call votes. The meeting minutes record no dissenting votes on these items.
