The Stanhope Board of Education on July 17 approved a new three-year contract between the district and the Stanhope Education Association covering July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027. The motion, presented by board member Gil Moscatello and seconded by board member Jennifer Herold, passed with six votes; board member Matthew Vilardo was absent.
Why it matters: The agreement implements new salary guides and includes percentage increases, stipend increases and longevity adjustments. Board documents presented at the meeting state that retroactive salary payments are not required because employees will start on the new guides.
