The Springfield Board of Education approved a slate of professional services contracts, curriculum adoptions and a settlement agreement at its Feb. 24 meeting.
Professional services approved in the agenda included contracts for nursing/medical services (Atlas Search Agency, $3,000 change), speech therapy (Indy Visual Speech, additional $8,500 for a total not to exceed $18,500), RBT/aide services (Delta T Group, $20,000), and BCBA/ABA/RBT services through First Children Learning Services with a $25,000 increase to a total not to exceed $70,000. Account numbers and cost-not-to-exceed amounts were listed in the packet.
The board adopted new high school curricula for 2025–26—Accelerated Math 6, Math Lab and English Lab—and approved curriculum revisions across elementary, middle and high school levels including arts, theater, accounting and music production courses.
The board also approved settlement agreement(s) between the district and the parents of student #1407. The settlement item was presented under the School Administration, Academic Programs, and Athletics committee; the motion to approve was made by Mrs. Turnbull, seconded by Mrs. Murphy and approved by roll call.
All professional-service and curriculum items were recorded in the board packet with account references and cost limits where applicable.
