Township orders clean-up notice for 3864 150th St NW; board approves clerk hire

Vice Chairman Mike Helman told property owner John Haack the township will start the process of issuing a notice that outlines violations at 3864 150th St NW and ordered Mr. Haack to report back to the board at its Sept. 3, 2024 meeting. The motion to start the notice process was made by Vice Chairman Helman and seconded by Supervisor Ryan Nelson and carried 4-0.
Mr. Haack told the board he intends to repair the roof and garage doors and is cleaning out the garage; Helman provided him with the county ordinance the board expects him to follow and said the property must be returned to compliance similar to how it was in 2014.
The board also approved hiring a candidate for the clerk/treasurer position at $27 per hour with a six-month review that could raise pay to $28 per hour after a positive review (motion by Supervisor Brandon Geyen, second by Supervisor Sandy Forsman; carried 4-0). The board set a road tour for Aug. 20 at 8:00 a.m. and agreed to schedule a budget work session toward the end of September. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m. on a motion by Supervisor Geyen, second by Supervisor Forsman (carried 4-0).
