Market to Market Relay permit approved after organizer corrects event date

Henderson corrected the date listed on the agenda, saying the relay will occur on Oct. 17 (not Oct. 16) and that the race begins about 5:00 a.m. in Omaha. He said the event stages runners in waves so that slower teams start earlier and faster teams start later; he noted the event's longevity: "As you know, this is the 19th year now," and said both Nebraska and out-of-state runners participate.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the permit by roll call.
